About EFGH

EFGH is a team led by Pilar Ferreres from which the recovery of architecture in the contemporary context is actively investigated. The built production is distant from the criteria of environmental logic and sustainability in its complete production process from the manufacture of the same to the layout and subsequent operation of the building.

Aware of the conditions of the real estate market, from EFGH we work to design plausible alternatives within the regulatory framework, plot conditions and building shape. Taking into account the proposed program, we are interested in the capacity of the local response, balancing the architectural design to a simple conception and a viable construction. The holistic relationship of parameters and questions, quantitative and qualitative, that affect the process requires in-depth reflection in combination with feasible management and economic control and measurable final result.

These processes consume a necessary time that we progressively reduce with each project, although the flexibility in the conditions that the client establishes shows a great dispersion, the results are being more attractive due to the accumulation of experiences, not due to the reiteration of the process under identical conditions.
